Dental fluorosis. What should one do with it?
Dental fluorosis is an endemic disease observed mostly with people living in places with high concentration of fluorine in soil and water. Fluorine is an important component of almost any organ though the highest concentration of fluorine is in teeth and bones. The first symptom of fluorosis is injury of teeth.
Dental fluorosis begins from the maxilla and affects the cutting teeth and premolar teeth (sometimes the injury begins from the mandible and affects the same teeth. If a person drinks water that contains more than 2mg. of per liter there is already the risk of dental fluorosis. If the water you drink contains more than 6mg. of per liter the process can affect the already formed teeth.
